New Bedford Festival Theatre showcased nationally at Southeastern Theatre Conference in Mobile, AL

SETC LogoNew Bedford, MA  – New Bedford Festival Theatre (NBFT) is pleased to announce Artistic Director Elizabeth Bettencourt will be presenting at the SETC conference in Mobile, AL on March 15, 2024. Dr. Bettencourt’s workshop titled ”Theatre Education for All – How a Theatre Company Can Plan, Fund, and Run Robust, Equitable Educational Theatre Programming”, focuses on New Bedford Festival Theatre’s Summer Academy, a tuition free theatre training program for local teens.

NBFT has run this program since its inception in 1990 and has expanded to include college-age Intern positions and year-round free Master Classes with industry professionals.
