Audition Dates:
- Sat & Sun, January 25 & 26, 2020 – Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, New Bedford, MA – 10:30 am – 4 pm *Saturday, January 25 is for girls 8 & up ONLY. Sunday, January 26 is adults 16 years and up ONLY*
- Fri & Sat, February 21 & 22, 2020 – Ripley-Grier Studios, New York, New York BY APPOINTMENT ONLY

Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, 684 Purchase St., New Bedford, MA – a 1200 seat proscenium theatre
Audition Requirements:
You must be 16 by first rehearsal – Children must be 8 years of age by the first rehearsal. Adults must be 16 by the first rehearsal. Please note age concepts in character descriptions below.
Casting all ages (16+), races, genders, shapes, and sizes with excellent singing abilities – see below
Acting: You will be asked to read from the script (no need to memorize). Sides will be available at the auditions.
Dance: All those auditioning will learn an audition dance combination. Please wear comfortable clothing that you can dance in. Please bring character and tap shoes. Gymnastic abilities a plus.
Music: 32 Bars from a Musical of ANNIE musical style. Please bring sheet music an accompanist will be provided.
Audition form: completed at the audition. Must provide an 8×10 head-shot and a resume to accompany form.

Annie
Annie is a complex, tough, streetwise urchin who is surprisingly vulnerable when she thinks she might lose what has become most important to her: her newfound “family.” She should be strong vocally and musically and be able to light up the stage in “Tomorrow!” Gender: Female

Bert Healy is the classic announcer on a radio show of the era. Gender: Male

Bundles is the laundryman for the orphanage. This is a minor speaking role and is perfect for the actor who can create a likeable character. Gender: Male
President Franklin D. Roosevelt
President Franklin D. Roosevelt is enlisted by Oliver Warbucks to help locate Annie’s parents. Gender: Male
Louis Howe
Louis Howe is President Roosevelt’s trustworthy aide. This is a great role for someone new to performing. Gender: Male
