New Bedford Festival Theatre will hold auditions for it’s 2014 production of “the Happiest Sound in All the World” THE SOUND OF MUSIC, Sunday, March 23, 2014 at the Zeiterion Performing Arts Center, New Bedford, MA, from 11 am to
4 pm.

Considered the most beloved of the musical theatre works of Rodgers and Hammerstein, THE SOUND OF MUSIC has been one of the world’s most popularmusicals on-stage and as the award-winning film.

Young Performers wishing to audition for the von Trapp children must arrive for the 11 am audition start. Adults must arrive for a 12 noon audition start.

Specific information for each role (age, vocal range, etc.) can be found on the Festival Theatre website www.nbfestivaltheatre.com

All wishing to audition should prepare a song in the style of the show. (Songs from the show are acceptable.) Be prepared to move. Please bring appropriate music, a stapled 8”x10” head-shot and resume’ and arrive at he Zeiterion Stage Door on Acushnet Ave. no later than 15 minutes before the times listed above.

  • All contract performers are on salary, July 7 – August 3, 2014.
